It states ‘'We, the undersigned, being the present present Board of Management and Honorary Officers of the above-named Society desire to place on record our high appreciation of the invaluable services rendered by Major George D. Rose, the First President who has so ably held office since the inception of the Society in July 1902. During this period he has been indefatigable in his endeavours to promote the welfare of the Institution and his untiring zeal and energy have won him the respect and esteem of all his colleagues who whilst regretting his retirement as President desire to express hope that he may continue for many years to give them the benefit of his experience and advice.
